Gaelic Games Revisited

Filed under: General — Martin @ 9:34 pm

Well that Gaelic Football game for the PS2 has finally been released. The official release was 11th November.

According to some posters on www.gamefaqs.com, the game has taken a nosedive. It seems, IRgurus knew that the game would be a hit..as it’s the first ever gaelic game available. So they relaxed a bit and have not delivered on, player controls, graphics, gameplay? or player information.

Apparently some football players have condemned the game. May I ask why? If anything, this computer game will make the fine game of gaelic football even bigger.

I’m very tempted to get the game!

Here are some screenshots

  1. Its looks like it could have been a big night at the Glen……but it appears to be a few pints watching compromised rules…..

The screenshots are not bad…but if the fans dont embrace this I can see it being a white label €15 in no time!

  2. I’ll try and dig something up on this but word is it’s a flop. The general consensus seems to be that there is a lack of good player control and it is thought this is due to a bad decision to rush it to market.

It was thought that it would be a benefit to get it released before the big fat man in the red costume comes down your chimney and i’m not talking about the commies. So come back out of your bunker.

Surely they could have combined the controls for a basketball game with those from say ISS? You’d have the bouncing and the kicking and the hey hey hey!
