Thanks to Phil for puting me on to this one….its great!
Travian is a MMOG played through your internet browser. Unlike many browser based games, Travian is not a flash or shockwave game, and does not rely on a plugin to function.
The game is basically a simple resource management game, a really simple version of CIV that allows the building of city, building and armies in real time. When you login to your travian account the server time is used to time the construction of untis, building and resources. Through the game interface (very simple and easy to use) you can control your city.
At the moment there are 3 civs. The Romans (always make an appearance), The Teutons and The blood thirsty Gauls! Im only a few days in so I can’t give you much feedback on combat or trading….but the early stages look good and there is already a huge community.
